If you’ve ever felt that prayer is a dry duty or that hearing God’s voice is reserved for the spiritual elite, you are not alone. But what if prayer was simply connection? And what if hearing God was as natural as breathing?

On the latest episode of the P3 Hub Podcast, I sat down with Josh Heather, the Lead Pastor of Emmaus Road in Woking.

We talked about everything from burpees in rainy car parks to growing legs out in burger restaurants. But the heart of our conversation was about how we, as believers, can navigate 2026 with radical hope and supernatural power.

Here are three key takeaways from our conversation that will help you step out as a World Changer this week.

1. Have More Faith in God’s Voice than in Deception

One of the biggest barriers to stepping out in the supernatural is the fear that we are just "making it up." We wonder, Is that God, or is that just my own thought?

Josh shared a liberating perspective on this. He chooses to live by a simple rule: "I want to have more faith that God wants to speak to me than the devil wants to deceive me."

If we believe God is a good Father who desires connection, we must believe He has designed us to receive His communication. Josh described hearing God not usually as an audible boom, but as "sensing" the Spirit - often through:

  • The Sanctified Imagination: Trusting the images that pop into your mind when you pray.

  • Spontaneous Thoughts: Ideas that are "better than you could think by yourself."

  • Physical Empathy: Feeling a sensation in your body (like knee pain) that might be a clue to pray for someone else’s healing.

2. Treasure Hunting: When God Interrupts Lunch

Theory is great, but what does Proclamation look like in the real world? Josh shared a story that perfectly illustrates how God loves to show up in the marketplace.

While in the US, Josh and his team went "Treasure Hunting" - asking God for clues (names, places, clothing colours) and then going out to find the people matching those descriptions.

Josh wrote down four things: The name James, a burger restaurant, a red t-shirt, and a toothache.

They found a burger joint, and walking out was a man in a red t-shirt. Josh took a risk and approached him.

  • The Name: The man’s name was James. (Strike one!)

  • The Pain: Josh asked if he had a toothache. James said no. Awkward silence.

  • The Twist: But his fiancée, standing right next to him, did have a toothache. And James? He had severe back pain.

The team prayed right there on the street. They watched as James’s legs aligned (one was shorter than the other), his back pain vanished, and his fiancée’s toothache disappeared. That encounter led to a prophetic word over her life that left her in tears, feeling fully known by God.

This wasn't a crusade platform; it was a burger joint. That is the P3 life in action.

3. A Manifesto of Hope for 2026

We are living in interesting times. Looking around the world in 2026, it’s easy to find reasons for "doom and gloom." But Josh challenged us to adopt a different manifesto.

He shared a core value that changed his life:

"I am allowed to have no hope over any situation that the Lord has no hope over."

Since there is no situations that God is hopeless about, that means we are not permitted to be hopeless about anything.

Whether you are influencing your workplace covertly like Salt (flavouring the culture) or overtly like Light (proclaiming truth that cannot be ignored), your job is to bring the hope of the Kingdom into your sphere of influence.

Ready to Step Out?

You don’t need to be a pastor or an evangelist to do this. You just need to be willing to listen.

Try this today:

  1. Ask God to highlight someone to you.

  2. Listen for a clue - a name, a colour, or a sense of a need.

  3. Risk stepping out and simply asking, "Can I pray for you?"

You were made for a supernatural, Spirit-powered reality.

Go for it, World Changer.
